Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information OSHAA — Occupational Safety & Health American Awards — collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
What we collect
We hold learner records (name, date of birth, email, and optionally phone) supplied by Authorized Training Providers or entered by our staff, certificate records that permanently document a qualification awarded, and the organization and contact details submitted by training providers when they apply for authorization.
Why we hold it
Certification only has value if it is durable and checkable. Certificate records are retained permanently so that a credential can be verified for the length of a career. Provider records are retained for the duration of authorization and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our regulatory and audit obligations.
Certificate verification
Anyone holding a certificate ID can view that certificate's record on our verification page. The record shows the learner name, qualification, dates, status, and (where applicable) the delivering provider. It does not expose contact details, date of birth, or any other personal information.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the training provider that registered a learner, with payment processors to the extent needed to settle fees, and where the law requires it.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or — outside the permanent certificate record — ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details on our contact page and we will respond within 30 days.
